Swim Lessons: For all ages and abilities.  Swim Lessons run on an 8-week schedule except for summer lessons which wil be announced in the spring.  Lesson fees are based on 1 class per week.  Swimmers may participate more than once per week if desired.  Fees will increase accordingly.  (e.g. one class per week = $30 for an 8 week session, two classes per week = $60 for an 8 week session)  Registration begins the 15th of the month prior to the lesson start date for full members and begins on the 20th until full for non- members).  Scholarships are available for program fees.  Please check the Mission Driven Programs page for more information or call 634.9622 extension 22 for more information. Parent-Tot Swim Class : For children from 6 months to 3 years old. The instructor works with parents to teach them how to handle their child in the water. Instructor works with parents to acclimate child to water. Sign up for as many classes per week as needed.

Preschool Swim Lessons: For ages 3 to 5 years old. 30 minute class

 

Pike – This class is designed for beginners.

Teen and Adult Swim Lessons:

For ages 13 and up.  These classes are designed for people who have never before had swim lessons.

Private and Semi-Private Lessons:

For any age or skill level.  These classes are arranged individually by the Aquatics Director.  They are arranged around your schedule, taking the pool schedule into consideration.

$18 per half-hour for private

Porpoise Club Swim Team: For ages 6-18

Porpoise Club is a swim team for advanced swimmers who can swim at the Minnow Level or above.

Monthly swim meets are optional

Following the school calendar September through May

2 times per week $50 full members

1 time per week $50 non- members

2 times per week $70 non- members

Lap Swim:

This is an individually paced swim time.  When the pool is crowded circle swimming may be required.

Monday through Friday 5:30-8:30am, 11:30am-2:00pm & 5:00-6:00pm

Saturdays 11:30 - 1:30 pm & 1:30-7:30 pm (combined open/lap swim)

Sundays 12:00-1:30 pm

Arthritis Foundation YMCA Aquatics Program (AFYAP):

Provides gentle exercise in 86° water to help improve joint flexibility.  This is a shallow only class so it is not necessary to know how to swim.  You must submit a Physicians Release form (pick-up from Membership Services) prior to starting with the class.

Fees: Full Member: Free / Non-member $35 per 3 week session for the summer.

Deep Water Walking:

Water walking, running and exercise with the aid of floatation devices in the deep end of the pool.  Deep Water Walking is a self-guided class (no instructor).

Stretch and Flex:

This class is designed to increase flexibility and muscle tone through stretching and light physical exertion.  Stretch and Flex is a shallow only class so it is not necessary to know how to swim.

High Intensity Water Exercise:

This is a high intensity workout designed for a more vigorous workout to improve cardiovascular conditioning and muscle tone muscles.  Most classes stay in the shallow end, some do utilize the deep end, but swimming ability is not required.

Open Swim:
For all ages.  Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult and must pass the swim test to swim without a floatation device or in the deep end.  If space permits, a lap lane will be set-up.

Friday 6 - 8:30 pm
Saturday 1:30 - 7:30 pm (Combined Open /Lap Swim)

Lifeguard Opportunities:
