Before and After School Program:
This program is for children in all day kindergarten through sixth grade. The program opens at 7:00am when parents are able to drop their children off before work. The YMCA staff will get the children to school every morning. The after school part of the program begins when school ends and the YMCA staff transport the children to the YMCA. Children participate in organized activities or work on homework. There are tutors available to assist the children with their work. The program closes at 5:30 pm every day. Early Release & No School Days:
On regular weekdays when school is not in session, the YMCA provides child care to all the children who are enrolled in the Before and After School Program. Organized activities are planned and an out of building activity may also be scheduled. There is no additional cost for these days.
Half Day Child Care:
This program is designed for those children who attend one of the 1/2 day kindergarten programs in Cheyenne. Children ages 5 and 6 years old will be admitted into this program. Two sessions are available according to the child's Kindergarten schedule:
Morning: 7:00am to Noon Afternoon: 11:15am to 3:15pm
Fees are: $180 per month for Members $240 per month for the Community
After school care is also available for those who need additional child care.
Hours: 3:30 to 5:30pm
Fees are: $135 per month for Members $195 per month for the Community
Transportation to and from kindergarten will be provided for the children. The program begins August 29th and pre-registration is required.
Holiday Day Camp:
Child care during the holiday school breaks is also available. Before and After School participants are given the opportunity to pre-register, and then the remaining slots are opened to the public. Registration forms can be obtained from the Membership Services Desk at the YMCA. Organized activities are planned and out of building activities are scheduled for each day of the camp. The Learning Center:
The Cheyenne Family YMCA operates a full time, all day preschool program for children ages 3 to 5 years old. The YMCA runs a developmentally appropriate Creative Curriculum program and is actively involved in preparing the children for kindergarten. This curriculum is endorsed by Laramie County School District #1. To contact the Learning Center office call 634.9622 extension 27 or call the Learning Center cell phone at 421-0421. For inclement weather the YMCA Learning Center follows the schedule set by the City of Cheyenne, State of Wyoming and Laramie County School District #1. The tuition is $360 per month for members and $420 per month for non-member.

Nursery & Funtime:
Child care while you work out! The Nursery Funtime child care program is open and free to all members while they are in the YMCA. Nursery care is for infants age 8 weeks to 6 months old. Children in the nursery are welcome to stay for one full hour of play and socialization. Children in the Funtime area are ages 7 months to 11 years old. Funtime children are welcome in the program for up to two hours per day. All children participating in the Nursery Funtime program must have an information packet on file along with a copy of their most recent shot records. Nursery & Funtime care is free to Members!

Spring Break Day Camp
Child care during the scheduled school spring break. The cost of the camp is $20 per day for Y Members and $40 per day for Community. Scholarships are available for fees. Please check the Mission Driven Programs page for more information or call 634.9622 extension 16 for more information.
Summer Day Camp:
Child care during the summer months is available. Before and After School participants are given the opportunity to pre-register, and then the remaining slots are opened to the public. Organized activities are planned and out of building activities are scheduled for each day of the camp. Campers often go to movies at the movie theatre, bowling, swimming, and make multiple trips to the many different parks throughout Cheyenne. The cost of the camp is $120 per week for YMCA members and $160 per week for Community. Scholarships are available for fees.
