A New Year’s Fitness Challenge That Shakes Up Your Wellness Routine and Has You Shouting, BINGO! 

Motivation can be a mysterious minx. One day, you can’t wait to climb a mountain on the Stairmaster, and the next you can’t muster the motivation to step inside the Y. Excuses creep up, inspiration fades and your fitness routine is officially a fond memory. But it doesn’t have to be so. Our FITGO New Year’s Challenge is the perfect way to harness inspiration for your perspiration. 


FITGO helps you explore all that the Y has to offer, kick off your 2023 goals and have some fun.


Just grab a FITGO card from a YMCA front desk or wellness desk. Start checking off squares. When you have a bingo (6 squares in a row in any direction), fill out a raffle ticket at the wellness desk at your YMCA, and you’ll be entered to win a prize in our weekly drawings, including a free personal training session, super cool YMCA swag and more. Plus, when your FITGO card is completed — we call that a blackout — participants can turn in their cards to receive a T-shirt and entry into our grand prize. Best of all, you’ll have made new friends, tried new classes, had some fun and now feel at home at the Y.

Challenge begins Jan 15 and ends on Feb 28.

We are using the honor system. Participants do not need to get each box checked by staff due to the potential volume of participants. One shirt per person.

Nutrition goes hand-in-hand with an active lifestyle, and we’ve partnered with Natural Grocers to bring you nutritional advice and classes led by registered dietitians and nutrition coaches. Before you begin any fitness or nutrition program, it’s a great idea to get a feel for where you’re starting, so you can determine where you want to go!

Heart Health

Your target heart rate represents an ideal heart rate range (beats per minute) that you should strive to maintain during aerobic activity, based on your age and activity level. Calculate your maximum heart rate and target heart rate using this calculator.
