WELLNESS HAS NO AGE LIMITS
At the Y, we believe that health and well being is for everyone regardless of their experience, ability, or age. Seniors are at a higher risk for diabetes, heart disease, and struggles with mental health. To better support all seniors in our community, why we have a department dedicated solely to Senior Wellness. We offer low-impact land and water fitness classes that are led specifically with seniors in mind. We also have regular Senior Wellness social gatherings and events to help keep our community connected.

While we have plenty of classes that are specifically for seniors such as SilverSneakers or Senior Fitness, we also have a number of classes that are low-impact but have a wider range of attendees. Monthly Coffee Socials
On the second Wednesday of every month 7:00-9:00 AM, we host a coffee social in our Pool Lobby. We provide coffee, you bring the community! You are also more than welcome to bring baked goods or pastries to share with the crowd. Outside of socials, members also bring and make coffee Mon-Fri mornings.
SilverSneakers® is a health and fitness program designed for adults 65 and older. It is a wellness program specifically created to accommodate seniors and their wellness needs. It is included with many Medicare Plans. Click here to check your eligibility.
Though Pickleball isn't strictly for seniors, it is one of their favorite pastimes. Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages/skill levels. The game is easy to learn for beginners, but it can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We have players that are eager to teach and play with new competition, so come try it out! We play up to three courts at a time. Click here to view our current gym schedule.
