The YMCA is the nation’s leading expert in water safety and swim instruction. Along with Ys across the country, we have adopted a swim lesson curriculum that makes it easier for children and adults to become comfortable and safe in and around water. YMCA Swim Lessons begin with the development of basic self rescue skills as well as gaining confidence and ease in the water. From there, swimmers refine the strokes they have learned and progress their skills. The new lessons also include character development, family involvement and safety education components. We offer swim lessons for all skills levels for ages 6 month to adult at the Cheyenne Family YMCA.

If a class is full, please request to be added to the wait list. Classes will be opened up as more spots become available.

NEW! SWIM SKILLS AND DRILLS

Our new Swim Skills and Drills program is geared towards children who have passed Level 3 in swim lessons and would like to start training for swim teams.

Fees are based on one class per week. Children will typically repeat each level of lessons several times before progressing to the next level - this is especially true for the beginner levels. Please keep in mind that lesson times are subject to change prior to the beginning of a session. We are unable to provide make-up lessons for classes a student misses, but we will make-up classes that are cancelled by the YMCA.
