We will be ready to welcome you back to our facility Monday, May 11th.  Our staff has been preparing and getting ready to re-open under a new normal.

We will be re-opening in phases to keep our members safe and adhere to guidelines from the CDC and State government.  You will notice some changes and increased signage in our facilities.

YMCA Phase I - Changes in our Facility:

  • All staff and members will have their temperature checked upon entering the facility.  (We run a Department of Family Services licensed childcare and it is required by the state to keep this open.)

  • Members must maintain minimum of 6 feet distance from one another.

  • Staff will be wearing face coverings.

  • Member's time within the facility will be limited to 1 hour at a time.

  • Group exercise classes will continue virtually through YMCA Phase I.

  • No basketball games.  Individual practice will be allowed.

  • Singles only pickleball when gloves are worn.

  • Locker rooms will be closed.  2 unisex bathrooms are available for use.

  • No towel service.

  • Coffee will not be available.

  • No guests will be permitted. Facility use will only be for members 16 or older during YMCA Phase I.

  • The cycling room will not be available for use.

  • The Sauna and steam room are prohibited per Public Health Orders.

  • Cardio equipment has been spaced 6 feet apart.

  • Resistance machines can be used with every other machine left open.

  • Staff are required to disinfect all equipment before it goes back into rotation.  There are designated areas to place loose equipment once it has been used and cards on machines that can be flipped to indicate if a machine needs attention.

  • Members must wash hands before and after working out with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use provided sanitation stations.

  • Increased signage throughout the building to encourage social distance, hand-washing and remind members to disinfect equipment.

  • Pool and KidZone access will open in a later phase.

We will continue to review these guidelines regularly and communicate changes through email, our website and social media to meet federal, state and local guidelines. We will continue providing virtual resources for our members who are still sheltering at home.
